We received a fabulous and professional service from Hammmertons. Phil and the staff were friendly compassionate kind and professional from start to finish. They handled everything with sensitivity and ease during this very difficult and emotional time. We never felt rushed at any time and they took the time to explain every step of the process. Phil and the team showed genuine care and make the whole process seamless.
A big thank you to Phil and all the team for your kindness and support during this emotional time.

The staff were so friendly; attentive and professional. The service was beautiful & so mum and nothing was impossible to sort out. Mum was so looked after that we could have peace to sort out other things for her funeral.

At the sad time of losing Mum back in January quite unexpectedly I particularly was faced with an unknown task. I’d never arranged a funeral before. Despite my parents both preparing for the moment by sorting out their funerals and paying for them years ago I had no idea where to start. All I knew was Hammertons was their chosen funeral directors. So I called into their Goldthorpe Funeral Home as it’s minutes from my parents home. Myself and my wife were greeted by Katrina. She welcomed us both in and made us a coffee. We sat and chatted about what needed doing and before we knew it we had the date and time sorted. But not only this, we also knew what else we needed to do next and the legalities that needed sorting out. Katrina and Mary at Goldthorpe were both so friendly throughout the longer than usual waiting time and always at the end of the phone if needed. On the day myself and my brother arrived at the funeral home and were greeted by the funeral director whom already knew myself through my job. We were given time paying our last respects beside the hearse alone before setting off to the crematorium. A wonderful group of caring people who certainly do their best to make the pain of
losing a loved one the least it can be with their professionalism and caring. Thank you all.
